Synopsis: Hooky is ordered by his dominating aunt to go to the small Cotsworld village of Barwold, to investigate the situation of the young daughter of a friend. The girl is a wrong-un, and falls victim to a local serial killer, which leads Hooky into an investigation he had tried to avoid.
