Early African exploration, some big game and hunting as well as on slave trading regions. Author also discovered a new route from Sierra Leone to the River Niger crossing Africa from west to east. Rebound in full gilt leather, now worn especially in volume one, and with gilt stamp of Royal Naval School on vol 1. No other institutional markings. New end papers. Former owner's name on title page of vol 1. Marbled edges. Tiny piece shipped from last page in vol 1. Better than all this sounds.
