Stated "First Edition M-O" (first U.S. edition); 356 opened pages, clean and unmarked on strong paper mildly age-toned; mark on front paste down where book plate appears to have been peeled off.Binding firm; brown boards with gilt striation and tarnished gilt lettering on dark blue patches have lightly bumped corners and slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine. No d.j., but probably issued without.
