Publisher’s pebbled brown cloth; decorated in blind; spine title in gilt; red edges; brown endpapers; illustration in black and white; clipped memorial poem pasted onto a preliminary blank leaf; nearly fine. Presentation copy; inscribed on the first blank, “Mrs. F. Haven with the regards of Mr. Bulfinch.” This copy does not conform to the various states described in Peter Parley to Penrod. This volume comprised one of three works collected into Bulfinch’s Mythology.
