About This Item

West Raleigh, NC: The Senior Class of the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, 1906. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Hardback. First Edition. This book is dedicated to Civil War General and English Professor Dr. Daniel Harvey Hill. Frontispiece of Dr. Hill and his printed signature. There is an additional illustration of a woman on the front fly page by W. M. Kenly with a thin flap page over it. Decently clean pages with no apparent creasing or marginalia; there are some markings and browning from age. The book contains list, descriptions, and information on the different classes, groups, clubs, fraternities, etc. of the college. To go along with these, there are black and white illustrations/photographs throughout the text. For each of the fraternities, there is a page holding a yellowish-white and black imprint of the Greek symbols and design. On the back fly page there are many signatures in graphite. The binding is slightly loose. Black and yellow cover boards with gilt lettering and a black spine. There is visible rubbing on a majority of the cover along with markings and some discoloration; the cover is dirty as well. The spine headband is frayed at the top and bottom and is starting to become separated from the binding at the top. There are several very small holes where the spine is connected to the cover boards. Overall good condition. Full refund if not satisfied.
