Hardcover in very good condition with muddy colored yellow boards, navy spine cloth, and gold gilt spine lettering. Top text block stained yellow and has a red dot (remainder mark?) on top. White endpapers; front paste down end paper was pasted with a dog-ear fold folded under so verso of front board not completely covered by the end paper (see photo.) Interior text block clean & tight; no markings or writing noted. Dust jacket very good; would be fine but for light water stain on back of jacket at bottom spine; does not bleed through to the front. Not price clipped. * Second novel by this Cuban American author. Synopsis
Cristina García was born in Havana and grew up in New York City. Her first novel, Dreaming in Cuban, was nominated for a National Book Award and has been widely translated. Ms. García has been a Guggenheim Fellow, a Hodder Fellow at Princeton University, and the recipient of a Whiting Writers' Award. She lives in Los Angeles with her daughter, Pilar.
