New York: Import Publications, 1943. Softcover. Very Good/no jacket. pp 50, illustrations, 23cm tall, octavo. Vol. 3, No. 5. "Helicopter Gets Test Flights and an Order from the Navy" is about a test flight of the PV-2 helicopter engineered and built by the P-V Engineering Forum, with a photo of the PV-2 in flight. The test pilot was Frank N. Piasecki, one of the pioneers of helicopter development. Also an announcement that the giant Curtiss Commando, the C-46, will go into mass production for the Army Air Forces. Cover photo of the twin-engine, C-46 cargo plane in flight. Rear cover has light soil, front cover shows short horizontal crease at spine.
