Press review presentation card laid in, stamped with publication date August 1992. Very faint foxing to the top edge, else fine. In the photo-illustrated laminated dust jacket with minimal scuffs. Story of the American invasion of the Canadian Northwest to fortify the continent against Japanese attack, including construction of a highway from Edmonton to Fairbanks. Based on interviews with veterans and residents and archival research.

Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.
