New York: Coward, McCann, 1930. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition. Signed by William Gropper in black ink on title page, inscribed to former owner. Bound in publisher's orange cloth with blue lettering. Very Good, lacking dust jacket. Binding professionally repaired, now sturdy and tight. A few creased pages. Spine a bit darkened and scratched, small stain on front cover, cloth worn at edges.

A circus-acrobat-themed graphic novel by a notable radical American artist and illustrator. It has been hailed by historians of the graphic novel as being one of the best early examples of the form. Especially rare signed.
