Undated, but early 1940's. Differs from the Waverley Edition only in the design of the boards (red with black titles), publishing and price revisions to dustwrapper, and slight rearrangement to prelims. All artwork by Rene Cloke : cover design, Frontispiece and 7 other colour plates (collated and present), and numerous additional monotone drawings. Very Good, clean, tight condition with no inscriptions. Just light foxing to fore-edges. In Good, unclipped dustwrapper (Published price 8/6) which has edge tears/minor edge chips, with associated lower edge creasing to rear panel. The wrapper is now protected by a non-adhesive, transparent, acid-free protector, which can easily be removed if required.
