Decorated gilt stamped boards and spine with all edges gilt. Silk moiree endsheets with silk bookmark sewn into the binding. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Originally published in 1974, this is the story of a Uruguayan plane carrying a rugby team and 25 friends and relations that disappeared in the Andes in 1972. Believed lost, two men survived and were found ten weeks later. A miraculous story of survival. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
