No dustjacket. There are very light foxing (brown) spots to the page fore-edges and there is a gift note addressed to the former owner on the rear of the half-title page. This is a lovely Copy and there are NO other inscriptions or marks. Translated from the German by A. W. Wheen. 192 pp. Overall, this is an Excellent, Very Clean, Tight and Bright, Near 'As New' copy. "In 1914 a room full of German schoolboys, fresh-faced and idealistic, are goaded by their schoolmaster to troop off to the 'glorious war'. With the fire and patriotism of youth they sign up. What follows is the moving story of a young 'unknown soldier' experiencing the horror and disillusionment of life in the trenches. " ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
