About This Item

London: Trianon, 1970. Limited Edition. Quarter Leather over Marbled Boards. Very Good+/Slipcase Very Good+. William Blake. 4to. With eight pages of text and 10 color plates reproducing in facsimile Blake's prints. Bound in quarter green morocco over marbled boards in a matching marbled slipcase. Backstrip with gilt lettering. Spine of book faded to brown, as usual. Slight wear to leather trim on slipcase. Of an issue limited to 600 copies, this is hand-numbered copy 40. With All Religions Are One (etched 1788; printed 1795), Blake fundamentally established a new artform by melding poetry, printmaking, and a fresh idiosyncratic philosophical outlook. This handsome volume serves as an appropriate tribute. BENTLEY, 5. ROSENWALD, 1865.
