Trustees of The Aloes of South Africa Book Fund, Johannesburg, 1950. Limited. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Signed. 520 pages (complete). Numbered 44 of a limited subscribers' edition of 500 copies. Signed by Reynolds on the limitation certificate. Inscribed to Paul Davis, whose ex-libris plate is attached to the front paste-down. Full leather. The leathered boards are a little scuffed and worn by shelving. Gilt decoration and titling (kindly). The boards are also a little dulled but they retain their vigour and vibrancy. The page edges have some shelving marks. There a blotches of foxing fore and aft. The contents are overwhelming most agreeably healthy and smart. They are fresh faced, neat, very clean and clear, the illustrations are vivid and bright, the pages are tight, certain, generous, diligent, gratifying. Please note that due to the weight of the book, should the book need be posted to the outside of South Africa, extra postal charges may be required. fk.
