The rather uncommon second book of this very popular author, who is mostly known for her novels of romantic suspense. This is a book for older children: 12 year old Amanda's behavior makes her considered a 'horrible child' or disturbed, but one summer she finally learns that what taking responsiblity and growing up means. INSCRIBED on the front endpaper by the author.
