Various sizes. Includes tipped in shipping transit labels. These issues, bound in three quarter leather over blue cloth, contain the first three years of this monthly publication. This magazine is an example of the juvenile literature in late 19th-century America. The seventh issue of the first year (April 1, 1886) presents what purports to be a facsimile of a letter by Horation Alger Jr offering an (tepid? ) endorsement of the journal. Moce; y bound with marble eps and linen hinges. .
