George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd, London, 1959. Reprint. Hardcover (1/4 Cloth 3/4 Boards). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: S. B. Pearse. Colour illustrated endpapers. The text is illustrated with full-colour and a full-page, every second page, illustrations and black-and-white drawings to the top and bottom of each of the other pages drawn by S. B. Pearse. 1/4 light blue coloured cloth covered back strip with dark blue coloured titles. 3/4 illustrated boards with red and blue coloured titles. After being disappointed about visiting their uncle, Ameliaranne and her family go on a tour around their county in a grand old car. Softening to the back strip edges with chipping of the book corners, and various bumping to the top and bottom book edges. Remains of insect activity can be seen to the top and lower book edges with sunning of the back strip. The spine is somewhat cocked and there is browning of the text block edges. Age toning of the pages and there is a gift inscription to the top edge of the free front endpaper. Offset tanning to the end pages and original bookseller's sticker to the lower right hand corner of the front paste-down  this is ghosted on to the free front endpaper.
