Spine in 6 compartments with raised bands; dark red morocco lettering pieces, gilt; marbled endpapers. Old presentation inscription on a preliminary blank from George Denis of the Los Angeles firm of Denis & Loewenthal. Text block very good; binding fine. The foremost American treatise in Admiralty Law by a leader of the admiralty bar and the last edition to appear in Benedict's lifetime.
