About This Item
London: St Ermin's Press, 2003. Book. Illus. by 2 maps, 8 pages of black/white photos. Fine. Full-Leather. First English Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A fine, design binding in red morocco with an American folk flag, 13 stars from our revolutionary beginnings flowing from the front cover across the spine and back cover in red, white and blue. No title as the author had a career as a CIA operations officer under cover. So the title is hidden in a concealment device within the binding. Directions to the title are supplied to the purchaser only. Top edge a light blue cloud design to match the endpapers. Handsewn endbands. Very clean and tight inside. The binder has initialed this copy in gilt along the inside edge of the front board. Quite a special, patriotic binding for a legendary officer of CIA's clandestine service. .
