"Published in compliance with a joint resolution of the forty-sixth Congress." viii, 519, [7] p., 2 double-leaf maps of ecipses: tables; 27 cm. Dark blue cloth with gilt-stamped spine title. Preface is by Simon Newcomb, Professor U.S. Navy. Includes corrections to the 1884, 1885, and 1886 First Edition printings. Contents: Ephemeris for the Meridian of Greenwich -- Ephemeris for the Meridian of Washington -- Phenomena [predictions of phenomena to be observed] -- Appendix on the Construction of the American Ephemeris and Nautical Almanac for 1887. In Very Good Condition: cloth is rubbed and lightly soiled; pages are clean and tight.
