About This Item

Olympia Press , 2005. The American Express Gregory Corso The scarce Olympia Press 2005 reissue ! **** Illustrated with drawings by the author **** A Very Good copy indeed with only very light signs of wear and overall handling. Bound in publishers soft covers. Very light shelfwear, top edge perhaps a tad dusty. Very small bumps to bottom front corners, but not really noticeable. No inscriptions with all pages present and correct and tightly bound. Very clean internally and a bright copy. A very presentable and well preserved copy overall. Very scarce edition of this landmark book to come across ! ''Corso wrote it in a month and called it The American Express, a title which sent a flutter through the company's Paris office. Girodias threw a big party in a nightclub to launch the book and invited executives from the American Express office.'' (from John de St Jorre, Venus Bound: The Erotic Voyage of the Olympia Press and its Writers, page 68).. First Edition Thus. Soft Cover. Very Good. FIRST EDITION THUS.
