About This Item

No place (but Baltimore, MD?): American Jewish Historical Society, 1926. A gorgeous copy of the original 1926 American Jewish Historical Society edition -- NOT a modern reprint. Very Fine condition. NO rubbing. NO fading. Bright, shiny, clean, square and tight. Sharp corners. NO owner's name or bookplate. NO remainder mark. Remarkably fresh and crisp -- apparently never read. 1926. "A special edition of Publications of the American Jewish Historical Society, Number 30." The title page credits this to Dr. Rosenbach, but it was actually compiled by his gifted employee, E. Millicent Sowerby. Illustrated with numerous facsimiles. Printed at The Lord Baltimore Press, Baltimore, Maryland. Index. Bound in the publisher's gilt-stamped brown cloth which retains much of its new book gloss. Besterman 3281.. Original 1926 edition. Hardcover. Very Fine condition/No jacket, probably as issued. 8vo. xi, 486pp. + 11 pages of ads. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

About About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
