New York: Simon and Schuster, 1990. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/fine. Octavo, 748pp., illustrated. A very good copy in the publisher's red boards with navy cloth spine. One corner numped, the page block sagging (as often), and the spine cupped, but still a sound, clean example. In a fine dust jacket. This copy SIGNED by Reagan on the leaf preceding the title page with a generic inscription: "With best wishes, Ronald Reagan." The overwhelming majority of signed trade editions we've seen in commerce were signed on bookplates which were later affixed to the book. As a personally inscribed example, this is an attractive copy, despite its minor blemishes.
Synopsis
An American Life is the 1990 autobiography authored by former American President Ronald Reagan. Released almost two years after President Reagan left office, the book reached number eight on The New York Times' bestsellers list.
