Norwalk, CT: Easton Press. Near Fine. 2019. Limited Edition. Hardcover. SIGNED by the Author in a LIMITED EDTION (#1,309 of 1,500). Brinkley is a history professor at Rice University. This book recounts the historic space initiative announced by President Kennedy in 1961 to put a man on the moon ahead of the Russians. His quest was fulfilled in 1969 whe Buzz Aldrin took the "historic leap" on the moon. This book contains a bibliography and footnotes. Full black leather binding with raised spine bands with five compartments. Cover and spine decorations in 22 kt gold, all edges gilt, silk moire end papers with silk ribbon bookmark, printed on archival acid-free paper with smyth sewing. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, and no bookplate installed, though one is loosely inserted in the book along with the Certificate of Authenticity which is also signed by the author. ; Signed Limited Edition Series; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 496 pages; Signed by Author .
