NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, [1870]. Early printing. Hardcover. Good. Brown cloth with light wear to edges and moderate to extremities, including head/heel of spine; gilt stamping on spine still bright. Rear hinge cracked but still firmly attached. Former owner's name with pencil notations to the blank pages at the beginning and end of the book, name of Marguerite B. Castle, Cleveland, OH, 1880. A couple of pencil notations, else unmarked, minor foxing, clean pages with very light age toning. Large fold-out chart in rear, some tearing at the folds and mis-folding creases. 495 pp. Further details given, and questions are always welcome. Scans can be made upon request.
