Pages bright, underscoring and marginal notes by former owner Prof. Warner Berthoff on approximately 65 pages in Vol. 1 (chiefly in ToC and James Fenimore Cooper, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Whitman sections) and 25 pages in Vol. 2 (chiefly in ToC, introduction to Edwin Arlington Robinson, and Emily Dickinson).
