The post-WW1 paean to victory and American idealism in the 1914-1918 'war to end war', consisting of a history of the war and US involvement, anecdotal stories from the battlefield, all mostly written by US General John J. Pershing; contains numerous glossy b/w illustrations, maps. Hardcover, 514pp., binding mostly firm but starting to come loose, boards clear and unfaded, light edgewear to boards, pagaination mostly clear and unblemished. A nice copy of a very rare collectible. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
