About This Item
London: London Missionary Society, 1882. Author was a Scottish Protestant Christian missionary in China and Mongolia. He served with the London Missionary Society not dated was published on his 1882 trip back to London. His trek across Mongolia at the time Gilmour went to the field in 1870, Mongolia embraced that vast territory between China proper and Siberia, stretching from the Sea of Japan on the east to Turkestan on the west. CONDITION Green cloth with black embossed illus and bright gilt titles, very slight sheld wear, presentation plate to ffep dated 1885. Copy is very bright and crisp, 288 pages with numerous nice engraved illus through out. Light dust spotting to eps.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
