About This Item

Louvain: Chez C. L. Fonteyn, 1845. A second edition. Text in French. Later stiff card boards with blue cloth spine. - Both have a touch of darkening and rubbing. Owner's name to the front end paper. The rest of the book is clean and tidy, but with mild to moderate foxing. 120 pages. One folding map and one folding illustration to the rear of the book. Overall a very nice example. The author is attempting to demonstrate that religions around the world, shared core belief with Christianity from a time before the Jewish faith. Hence he had a "Christiano-centric" interpretation of primitive American mythology and religious customs. 120 pages + 2 plates. 210 x 130 mm (8¼ x 5 inches).
