London: The Author. Poor with no dust jacket. 1799. Hardcover. Covers are detached but present. Covers have wear to the outer corners. Spine back strip is still attached to the pages but has much surface wear. Two consecutive pages have pieces approx. 3 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" which were detached from the upper corners. The pieces were reattached in a repair, but the text is somewhat crooked. One plate is missing a small piece form the spine edge. Pages have scattered spots of foxing. ; Volume one only. With folded plates. .
