Text in English & Japanese. From the library of the eminent archaeologist Professor John Davies Evans (1925-2011) inscribed to him on half title by Christos Doumas. He was director of the Institute of Archaeology (now part of University College, London) from 1973 to 1989; renowned especially for his research into the prehistory of the Mediterranean, particularly the prehistoric cultures of Malta.
