The first edition of this illustrated history of ancient Central America. First edition of Ancient Life in Mexico and Central America by Edgar Lee Hewett in the original publisher's cloth binding. Illustrated with thirty nine monochrome plates. Collated, complete.Hewett was an American archaeologist and anthropologist. He specialised his study in Native American communities in New Mexico and South-West United States. Includes maps to the pastedowns. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The spine is very slightly faded. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some light age toning. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
