London: Macmillan & Co., 1879. 2nd Edition . Decorative Cloth. Vg+/No Jacket. 8vo. xxii, 350 pgs. 150 illustrations by the author. Gilt decorated red cloth. All edges gilt. Newer cloth back with original cloth laid over. Bookplate to front endpaper. Names to half title. Other pages and illustrations are fresh & bright. An excellent copy. Alfred Rimmer (1829-1893) trained architect, travel writer & artist, had several publications regarding domestic architecture in England, and 'the view from the street'. Other photos available.
