Volume II: xvi, 492, plus [4] p.p. ads. Handsomely illustrated with numerous drawings, photos, graphs, and featuring [7] folding maps, partially coloured. Volume one contains maps of 1. The Volcanic Districts of North Wales; 2. The Volcanic Districts of the Lower Old Red Sandstone of 'Lake Caledonia' in Central Scotland & North East Ireland; 3. The Carboniferous Volcanoes in Scotland; 4. General Map of the Volcanic Districts in the British Isles (a small tear to upper left margin and map). Volume two features maps of 5. The Permian Volcanic Districts of Scotland; 6. The Tertiary Volcanic Region of the Inner Hebrides and 7. Tertiary Volcanic District of North East Ireland, A small chip to top edge of p. 296 in Vol. II. Light foxing to pages and fore-edge. Some underlined passages in pencil. Partially uncut pages in Volume II. Scuffing to boards, edges. Two small blue ink blots on each side of p. 267. A small ink stain to lower front board of Volume II. Previous gift inscription to front endpapers in both volumes. Otherwise in very good condition.
