About This Item

Madrid, Spain: Renacimiento. Good. 1922. 1st Edition; 1st Printing. Paperback. THIS BOOK IS WRITTEN ENTIRELY IN SPANISH. This is a smaller than text sized paperback. The book is in Good condition and was likely issued without a dust jacket. The spine of the book has a large chip missing from the top spine end, and there are a number of small to smallish edge tears to the edges of the covers, and there is an inch + tear to the top rear spine joint, along with a longer tear to the bottom front spine joint. There is a previous owner's penciled name on the rear book cover. The text pages are in generally clean and bright condition, however there are several spots where a former owner has underlined words or phrases, or made tiny inked notations. "Miguel de Unamuno y Jugo (29 September 1864 – 31 December 1936) was a Spanish essayist, novelist, poet, playwright, philosopher, professor of Greek and Classics, and later rector at the University of Salamanca. His major philosophical essay was The Tragic Sense of Life (1912) , and his most famous novel was Abel Sánchez: The History of a Passion (1917) , a modern exploration of the Cain and Abel story.
