Minor bumping to the spine ends, some soiling to the top page edges, still a near fine copy with clean text and tight binding in a fine bright dust jacket (just a small sticker shadow on the rear flap). Protected in mylar.
Synopsis
Joyce Carol Oates's Angel of Light is about the Halleck family in Washington in 1980. The father, Maurice, is found dead from an apparent suicide - but his children, Kirsten and Owen are certain that it was their mother and her new lover that did him in. This free-form book sometimes uses stream of consciousness and jumpy timelines to increase the sense of mystery and confusion as Kirsten and Owen exact any revenge they can.
