About This Item

New York, NY Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1924. Hardcover First Edition [1924], unstated. First Edition [1924], unstated (in accordance with Stokes' customary practice). Very Good+: shows very light wear to the extremities and the mildest rubbing overall and some very faint soiling; there is a small superficial spot of scuffing at the outside edge of the front panel; the backstrip shows some foxing (the rest of the book, surprisingly, is free of foxing); the former owner inscribed name is scratched out at the upper front free endpaper. the binding shows the slightest lean, while remaining perfectly secure; the text is clean. Remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 305pp. Seventy-nine duotone photographic illustrations and a map. Blue boards with cream quarter cloth. Hardback: Lacks DJ.
