About This Item

London: Whittaker, Treacher, 1829. Comprising volumes VI, VII, VIII of the entire set, but complete within itself with all three volumes dealing with ornithology. Publisher’s cloth; some minor occasional spotting; a very good set. With 144 plates, nearly all hand-colored. One plate (the “Black-headed Chatterer”) has been replaced by an accomplished replica (almost certainly contemporary) watercolor, captioned in pencil.
