Beautiful decorated American trade binding, with clean red cloth boards, beige and black tiger in foreground, elephants with riders in background - decoration wrapping to spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight, pages and edges are clean. Previous owner name and date neatly penned on front free endpaper (1925) - slight browning to endpapers from contact with dust jacket flap. Liberally illustrated with photographs and drawings. 439 pages with index. Dust jacket is not price clipped (1.75 on front inside flap), has corner chips at upper spine, several short closed edge tears. Enclosed in new archival quality remvoable mylar cover.
