This book serves two main purposes:
(1) It is a convenient and reliable guide to the normal artist who may have occasion to refer to it in the difficult task of introducing animals into his work;
(2) It covers the whole field of anatomical study of horses, dogs, cattle, cats, &c., &c.,for one who wishes to make animal painting his speciality.
A volume from this publisher's 'New Art Library
(Second Series) and is listed as Volume XVIII,and is the most expensive at it's original price of 30s.
W. Frank Calderon was the founder and Principal of The School of Animal Painting,Kensington, London,and sometime lecturer on Animal Painting at the Royal Academy.
