Heavy wear and rubbing to boards of the leather cover. Gilt cover title is clear and bright, gilt spine lettering is somewhat visible with many rubbed spots. Cover hinges are cracked but the binding is intact. Beautiful marbled endpapers. All color tip-ins are intact and bright; tissue layovers have some tanning, foxing, and tears. Pages are tanned but generally clean with small smudges near the edges. Please Note: The contents page lists under 'Illustrations Printed in Color' the text entry page of the frontispiece.
