About This Item

New York: Golden Books, 1997. Rare and Collectible Read and Listen with Pages that Talk - Just touch the pages to bring the characters to life Adapted by Mary Dykstra from the Animated Film Annabelle's Wish. Illustrated by Alan Nowell & Associates 4to size pictorial hardcover with integrated speaker at top of book. Unpaginated - about 12 pages. The book works by pressing a symbol within the text and a sound or short phrase is heard. This complements the text. For the total experience, one has to both read the text and press the symbol. The inside front cover details battery information (we suggest the replacement battery offer from the manufacturer is no longer in effect.) The fep has details on how to use the book. The inside front cover contains the Golden Book 'bookplate' blank and waiting to be completed. From back cover: "Born on the even of Christmas, little Annabelle is wide-eyed at her new world. But when Santa Claus show up with his team of reindeer and a special Christmas gift for the animals, it's almost too much. This gentle narration (this refers to the text) captures the sweetness of the story of Annabelle's Wish, while using the touch-in-the-pages technology to let readings pay with what could be one of the story's most endearing and magical features - talking animals. Something has spilled between the inside cover and fep and there is a light stain on both pages and the following two pages. There is also a small spot on the bottom of inside cover with transfer to fep. The heel of spine and bottom corner of front cover are bumped. The book has edgewear and the front cover appears warped. There is a white scrape from the top edge of the book to the top of the integrated player. Caveat Emptor: Don't buyer from bookseller's who don't describe and photograph the book. They probably don't own the book. Dealer Direct Paypal Payment only for this item. Additional shipping charges to include insurance apply. . Pictorial Hardcover with Sound. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Alan Nowell & Associates. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
