Pages are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Occasional thumb-marking present. Cracking to front hinge with exposed binding, causing board to be slightly loose. Light scuffing to text-block edges. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Scuffing and light marking overall. Notable sunning to spine and edges. Water staining to spine.
Synopsis
Anne of Geierstein, or The Maiden of the Mist (1829) is a novel by Sir Walter Scott. It is set in Central Europe, mainly in Switzerland, shortly after the Yorkist victory at the Battle of Tewkesbury (1471). It covers the period of Swiss involvement in the Burgundian Wars.
