Includes unpublished references to Reginald Scot with quotations and illustrations from the early English books on conjuring from 1584 up to 1784. In 1993, Forrester published a Canadian bibliography of magic books called A Bibliography of Classic Authors in Magic and Related Arts. Green boards with gilt lettering on spine & gilt design & lettering on front. (viii) 108 pages with woodcuts & facsimiles. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
