Two tiny handstamps indicate previous owner was Kaspar M. Hodgson, an anthropologist and explorer of South America. Articles on Troglodytes or Cave dwellers of the Valley of the Veziere by Paul Broca, Ancient Aboriginal Trade by Charles Rau, and North American Stone Implements also by Rau, Indian Engravings on the Face of the Rocks along the Green River Valley in the Sierra Nevada, among others. Illustrated in black & white with line engravings, diagrams, etc. 9" high X 6" wide, 456 pages. . Hard Cover. Very Good.
