Hardcover in a burgundy dust jacket now in modern removable mylar. There is considerable wear to the dust jacket, which is torn in several places. Outer edges of the text block are toned. There is some foxing/toning to the end papers and title page. Previous owner's name in ink on the front end paper, as well as a separate name stamp on the same page. Text is toned but clean and sound.

As issued, in linen over boards with vignette title in red on the front cover and spine and publisher's dust jacket. Binding is solid and clean with very occasional offsetting from acidic paper page-markers left at the top of the inner margin of several openings; a few pencil check marks in the margin; dust jacket is gently edgeworn with a bit of scuffing to the back panel.
