Travel brochure featuring a colourful birds-eye view map with 12 black and white photographic images showing points of interest above and below. 40 x 54.5cm, folds to 21 x 11cm. A couple of neatly repaired tears along folds, a very good and attractive copy. An illustrated map and description of the city of Antung (Andong), on the border between Korea and China, including a coloured illustration, black-and-white photographs and text, published by the South Manchurian Railway's Antung branch in 1926. One side shows a detailed pictorial map of Antung, illustrating major company buildings, hotels, schools etc, and surrounded by black-and-white photos illustrating local landmarks such as the Yalu River bridge, the Japanese Consulate and the Antung Hotel. The Japanese text on the reverse gives a brief history of the city, population figues, a short description of the main industrial, trading and residential areas, a description of major surrounding towns and landmarks, and information about hotels and restaurants (with prices). .
