Near Fine in a Very Good jacket, unclipped ($6.95), rubbed at the edges, a couple small closed tears and circular spots of rubbing to the front panel. Blue buckram with gilt lettering and decorations. Square and firmly bound with a red top stain, clean internally. Hofstadter's enduring work, winner of the 1964 Pulitzer Prize, that traces the history of anti-intellectualism from early evangelicals to contemporary society.
