English text.; Hardcover (blue gilt decorated cloth).; 25 x 31.5 cm; 1.5 kg; 100 pages with 389 illustrations, each with captions.; Used book with signs of wear on the exterior, including scratches and scuffs. Wear marks on spine, which is slightly faded on the bottom and as a P written with a black marquer. Interior in good condition apart from minor yellowing throughout. Good readable copy.; The design on the binding of this volume is a fac-simili of that on a tablet of Kimmeridge shale found by Lieut.-General Pitt-Rivers in the Romano-British Village at Rotherley near Rushmore, 1887.; Catalogue with Works of Art from Benin, West Africa, obtained by the punitive expedition in 1987, and now at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford, United Kingdom..
