About This Item

Presumed first edition, first printing. MDCCCXIV shown on title page and no other dates provided. The book is in excellent condition overall. Wear at top and bottom of spine cover corners, some marks on the inside front cover (stamp of name and address) and first fly leaf (pencil marks and boll seller's sticker and name and address stamped on edges of pages - visible when book is closed. Lettering on the cover spine is a bit faded and darkened near bottom. Otherwise, we could not find any significant faults. Pages are all clear, without foxing, tears or marks although age toned at edges; The fold-out map and chart are in 'like new' condition. Binding is tight.

Appears to be a serious work on Indian antiquities with map and many illustrations. Also a detailed 43 page index.
